RADIO FOR KIDS

In the 1980s, Victor and I hosted a 'live' talk show for kids on radio every Saturday morning from 10am to 11am, and for 7 continuous years. Obviously with such a long season, we must have been quite successful and had a reasonably good following. The ratings must have been high enough for the station...90.5FM, to keep us on air for so long.
In fact, I think we were the only ventriloquist act anywhere in the world, to be on radio, since such an act have always been visually broadcasted on TV only.
What I do not understand is...when we tried to get back on the airwaves recently, we were told by all the radio stations that they do not have, and do not intend to have programs for kids.
So, are they saying that kids do not or should not listen to the radio? I am puzzled by this thinking.
With so much competition amongst the stations, should they not think that capturing a loyal following of listeners from young ages (kids) will eventually enhance and build their fan base? And does this not translate to long term survival for the station?
Oh well, I guess no one is listening.

MY FIRST BLOG

Hi all,
This is my first post.
But who am I?
I am a dummy. Well, not a dummy per se. I am actually a dummy from Singapore and the puppet of ventriloquist entertainer Victor Khoo.
But who is Victor Khoo?
He is an all round Singapore entertainer who has traveled and performed all over the world including Las Vegas...see his video
Victor's late father's was a ventriloquist and I was his puppet, till Victor inherited me. So, in reality, I have been entertaining for 2 generations of Singaporeans.
In fact, many Singaporeans grew up with me.
I guess you can say, I am to Singaporeans what Mickey Mouse is to Americans.
